FOX Footy kicks off 2014 season

FOX Footy officially welcomed Sandy Roberts at its 2014 season launch last night.

2014-03-03_2204FOX Footy presenters and AFL played gather last night at the channel’s South Melbourne studio to launch the 2014 season.

New recruit Sandy Roberts joined with Eddie McGuire, Jason Dunstall, Dermott Brereton, Gerard Healy, Mike Sheahan and Paul Roos with players Joel Selwood, Josh Gibson, Bob Murphy, Jordan Lewis, Brad Sewell, Leigh Montagna and Corey Enright.

“I can’t wait for the season ahead and working with such a remarkable team of professionals. The greatest game on Earth deserved the greatest channel in the universe and I’m looking forward to being part of this team,” said Roberts.

Also attending were surfer Layne Beachley and husband Kirk Pengilly, Melbourne Storm‘s Cam Smith and Melbourne Rebels’ Laurie Weeksand Tom English, Vixens Bianca Chatfield and Cath Cox plus Molly Meldrum, The Real Housewives of Melbourne, Shaynna Blaze, Peter Maddison, Lawrence Mooney, Santo Cilauro and Sam Pang.

FOX Sports CEO, Patrick Delany, spruiked the channel’s season before the 200-plus guests, including a new Sunday night entertainment show hosted by Eddie McGuire and Dermott Brereton.

Jason Dunstall will also co-host of the long-running On The Couch with Gerard Healy and Mike Sheahan.

Paul Roos, Melbourne Football Club senior coach and Essendon senior coach Mark ‘Bomber’ Thompson revealed they would be on the desk together with Gerard Whateley and Mark Robinson each Monday night on AFL 360.
