Congratulations to ABC’s Gardening Australia which returns this Saturday to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
All the presenters come together at Ripponlea Estate in Melbourne to share their experiences and memories of the program over 25 years.
Including: ‘Clips from the very first episode, a discussion about the practical, down-to-earth gardening philosophy that’s underpinned the program, packages illustrating organics, practical tips and advice, and the thousands of beautiful gardens the show has visited. There is also a special interview with Peter Cundall, Gardening Australia host from 1990 – 2008, as we look at his influence on the show and Australian gardening in general.
It’s a celebration of the practical, hands-on gardening advice that’s been dispensed to generations of gardeners around the country and an inspiring must-see first episode for the 2014 series!

Can’t see previous host Stephen Ryan in that photo.
I assume they won’t be repeating the feature piece about the “bonsai expert” who turned out to be a bikie gang member who was arrested a few months later for his part in a major drug dealing sting.
