Jimmy Fallon makes a promo for ABC2

Video: Check out this promo with Jimmy Fallon and Russell Crowe for ABC2.

I don’t usually run network promos, but this one with Jimmy Fallon and Russell Crowe is worth a look.

The Comedy Channel may well want reciprocation rights.

  1. Armchair Analyst, Seven allowed their output deal with NBCUniversal to lapse last year. NBCU now don’t have deals with any network in Australia, leaving each network to ‘spot-buy’ individual programs.

  2. Eleven please take note, this is how you treat a late night comedy show, not putting repeats of Sex in the City, Cheers, 30 year old movies before it.

  3. Jimmy Fallon has done tailored promos for The Comedy Channel in the past as well. In particular when they did “The Jimmy Channel” day when Late Night returned to the line up a few years ago.

  4. Although Letterman does not get the best ratings anymore (nor make the best talk show anymore) he is by far the richest late night host, and to this day his show has the highest advertising dollar spent on it.

  5. Jimmy is doing an outstanding job. He’s getting higher numbers than Letterman and Kimmel combined. NBC must be thinking all the late night turmoil was worth it to get to this point.

  6. Hah, saw this on Thu but missed the start so I thought it was just a clip from the show being used as a general promo until I saw the end. I’ve enjoyed the ones I’ve caught but I would prefer the other Jimmy (Kimmel). I used to watch Craig Ferguson on 11 until it got pushed back and started to have random start times.

  7. I did see a very short promo for Comedy Channel with Fallon/Crowe, but only a 15/30 second one advertising the show was on that night, nothing this extensive.
