Love Child tops timeshifted numbers

Last week's episode of Love Child pulls nearly 300,000 in Timeshifted viewing, a new high for an Aussie drama series.

CARDWELL_85Last week’s episode of Love Child has become the most time-shifted Australian drama series since OzTAM began recording time-shifted data at the start of the 2010 ratings year.

The episode on Monday, March 17 had an overnight audience of 1.063 million, but pulled another 295,366 viewers in Consolidated figures in the 5 mainland capitals, in the seven days after its initial broadcast – a new record for an Australian drama episode.

This takes its numbers to a 5 City average audience of 1.358 million, a lift of 27.8%.

It was also Nine’s highest rating time-shifted program ever.

Season Two of the hit drama will go into production later this year and screen in 2015.

  1. What sort of numbers would that be nationally. I saw on Twitter that Vikings had 40% of it’s audience outside of OzTam. With regional and regional time shift it could be 1.8? 1.9? Almost 1 in 10 Australian’s watching nationally? Pretty impressive.
    Are there ever shows that do really well regionally and that keeps them on the air?
