Of course both have previously done well quite nicely, thank you.

Taylor, recently seen in Game of Thrones, will appear in Season Two of BBC2’s period gangster drama, Peaky Blinders. The title pertains to a gang named after their practice of sewing razor blades into the peaks of their caps.

Taylor will play the head of an organisation that stands in the way of the Peaky Blinders’ plans for expansion. The series also features Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson, Joe Cole, Sophie Rundle and Charlotte Riley.

Meanwhile Frances O’Connor will join an 8×60-minute thriller series, The Missing, written by Harry and Jack Williams and directed by Tom Shankland (Ripper Street).

The Missing follows Tony, played by James Nesbitt (Jekyll), a man who will do whatever it takes to find his missing child. His exhaustive search fractures his marriage to Emily, played by Frances O’Connor.

It will air on BBC One in the UK and Starz in the US later this year.
