Patricia Arquette to star in CSI spin-off

Former Medium star Patricia Arquette will feature in the planned spinoff episode of CSI, set to air later this year in the US.

The spinoff will focus on how cyber technology has reached a point where faceless criminals can commit major crimes with the touch of a button.

Arquette will star as special agent Avery Ryan, who is tasked with solving high octane crimes that start out in the cyber world and play out in real life.

The spinoff comes from CSI creators Anthony E. Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue who serve as executive producers, alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Johnathon Littman.
