Renewed: White Collar

White Collar has been renewed for 6 more episodes -but is this the last run?

2014-03-23_0202US crime series White Collar has been renewed by the USA Network.

The series, starring Matt Bomer, will have just 6 episodes in its 6th season. But it isn’t clear if this will be the last run or not.

US ratings have sagged late in its run, but White Collar remains one of USA’s most acclaimed series.

Meanwhile USA’s new drama pickups include the untitled Sean Jablonski escort drama starring Aussie Matt Passmore, which was ordered to series earlier this month, as well as upcoming “event series” Dig with Jason Isaacs and Anne Heche, which hails from Tim Kring and Gideon Raff.

  1. I am waiting patiently for series 4 to come out on DVD. Series 3 was released I think last week.

A good show, but I think by series 5, it will be running out of steam.

A wise move to go out nearly on top.

  2. The show was running out of ways to extend the basic premise of keeping Neal on the ankle monitor. I was hoping they’d scrap that finally and have Neal working for them on his own free will, but I guess they weren’t brave enough to do that.

  3. Terrific news. I know earlier reports the other month were that the production company wanted to do a shortened final season but others didn’t so it wasn’t clear what was going to happen, but now it’s confirmed the new season will only have 6 episodes it’s a good indicator of who won & what will happen. If only ONE would hurry up and schedule season five, which ran in the U.S. from October 2013 thru January 2014.
