The 10-part second seasons sees world-weary Danish inspector Martin Rhode (Kim Bodnia) team up once again with young smart yet emotionally disconnected Swedish inspector Saga Norén (Sofia Helen) 13 months after the events of the first season.

When a coastal tanker leaves the Öresund waterway and is headed straight for the Øresund Bridge, the Coast Guard board the ship and discover there is no crew, and three Swedish and two Danish youths are chained below deck. Saga is put in charge of the case and contacts Martin, who is still haunted by the death of his son. It turns into a race against the clock to prevent a disaster where many lives are at stake.

  1. @ Nate – Yes, have heard only good things about the Danish version, with many glowing reviews.
Don’t mind the American version though – I do like Holder’s character.

  2. Horray for danish drama!
The Americans tried to rip them off but, as usual come up pale in Comparison.

I got the first season on dvd and sat down to to watch it recently.

Hopefully they can keep up the suspense it Season 2!

  3. Saga reminds me a lot of Sarah Linden from the American version of The Killing.
    Very similar types.
    Both dark,gritty shows.

Though I have heard that the Danish version of The Killing is better…will have to get around to watching one of these days.

  4. Saw this last year and it was pretty disappointing. The twists were unpredictable but the payoffs were laughable. It easily suffers from second season syndrome.

  5. Did someone mention high concept, complex, intelligent drama? Let’s see if 1,911,000 people tune in for this. Actually, 1,911,001 ‘cos I’ll be watching too.

  6. good to hear that this second season is coming back to air.

Season 1 was great. One of the best dramas going around. Am looking forward to this season.
