13 Comments:

  1. @tvf – when Ten re-scheduled they would not have known that 7 were going to stretch it even longer. Those tactice have taken away viewers choice as they almost force you to stick with a particular channel.

I and many others are sick of those games and my dual DVD-HDD recorder works overtime now and stations only have themselves to blame.

Corby family truing to get rich is not a topic that pleases most Aussies. I thought we had laws that you can not benefit from a crime financially 🙁 I think I am not alone by refusing to watch that rubbish, made up stuff now 🙁

  2. Great to see The Block win the Demos.
The twins are finally realizing what the other couples went through last year when they were winning everything & were flush with money.
When they said they wished they had never gone on the show the whole of Australia was agreeing with them. They are a pair of demanding princesses who feel a sense of entitlement that they should win everything.
Keep it up The Block. You are still my favourite Aussie reality show.

  3. With the bad ratings for Channel 9 Schapelle Corby tele-movie and now this Corby interview, I think Channel 7 are wasting their time and money pursuing this. Just shows that people are sick of this story and I don’t see how anyone would be interested in hearing what she has to say now she’s free. We’re not exactly going to get a confession of guilt or anything new.

  4. @wolfieboy
    MKR finished at 8pm.

MKR is starting to get boring now the instant restaurants are over. Not sure how much longer I can keep watching. There is no competition really at that time. Have no interest in the block and the only semi interesting episode of biggest loser is Tuesday nights weigh in.

  5. LOL I said the same to my wife last night how MKR’s is a clone of Masterchef from here onwards. Only difference is Masterchef has better cooks apply. MKR’s looks for drama queens like Dave. Thank God he is out of it now!

SYTYCD is a very good show. It will grow.
Ten have been smart to change schedule and start it at 19:40. That paid off as 7 & 9 were also finished with their juggernaughts.

Corby – well what can one say – boring now, drop it or lose viewers. 🙂

  6. bettestreep2008

Reverting to Masterchef-like team challenges obviously hurt MKR.

The Block obviously benefited from milking the twins meltdown and the facebook controversy.

As for SYTYCDA – even a slight improvement up against MKR and Block must be a positive.

And who was the genius at Ten who decided to put an Attenbourough special before it – when the ABC had it’s very own Attenbourough special directly after it?

764K vs less than 329K sums it up very nicely.

  7. A few obvious conclusions:
    1. MKR loses some of its audience when it drops the instant restaurant rounds, and reverts to being a clone of Masterchef……..still great ratings figures though
    2. SYTYCD is a turkey, but I doubt Ten can shelve it now they are into the competition proper. 3. Rake is a constant good performer for the ABC, in a tough timeslot
    4. Screening Series 4 of Downton Abbey, months after it was on in the UK, and after people have either downloaded it beforehand or bought the DVDs from the UK……….a mistake on the part of Channel Seven. And they put far too many ads into it anyway, which ruins the flow.

  8. A bit of a drop for MKR and the block had a pretty big bump last night, I guess that is thanks to the promos of “The perfect score” and the twins meltdown. I bet the people at seven are pissed at the numbers for Sunday night. I hope they get the message that people are over the whole schappelle thing now.
Wow the Block also won all the demos. Looks like MKR reign is coming to an end!

  9. Fantastic ratings for The Block: Fans v faves.
Meanwhile, SYTYCDA continues to hurt its show.
Don’t know what Channel TEN will do to this show.
