  1. Congratulations to Nine. Commiserations to Ten. I’m glad Downton Abbey got over 1 million.

    I wish to thank the ABC for the News. I was tired so I only listened to the Ice Age documentary. I checked the start time of Downton with the EPG. Flicked over early and found it was already on. Saw what they did and flicked off. I guess this year from now on in I wait for the DVDs. I decided it wasn’t worth it. There’s no way I can adapt.

    I probably won’t watch Resurrection either unless I maybe catch it in a repeat. I’ve tried to work out what is going on with TV. Also what is going on with me in reaction to what has been happening. In the end no matter the cost. I do understand it is my brain that is the enemy and I now bear no ill-will. But how does one adapt to ultimate hate campaigns against the shows and the viewers? Especially when it can’t be ignored like others can do.

  2. Hamish is the ex personal assistant to Rupert Murdoch. Lachlan, his son, is the Chairman of the Board at Ten. Shine is run by Ruperts daughter Elizabeth who sold the business to Daddy last year.
    So Ten is totally infiltrated by News Corp. Watch out for more and more program sharing. 😉
    That is how it is now, what happens in the future is anyones guess. 🙂

  3. Elementary premiered at 944k and fell steadily. And within a few months was rating in 600ks at times, where it had remained. It is an OK show but nothing special and it isn’t going to compete against what Seven and Nine have for Sunday nights.

    Last nights episode was particularly silly. If Holmes had followed procedure he would have had Bell run the guys name and produced the same result.

  4. As a loyal fan of MKR from the very start, I’m really not surprised that it was beaten by The Block. Apart from the lovely Asian couple, none of the other contestants on MKR this year appeal to me at all, which is making the show less enjoyable.

  5. I thought that The Block had a terrific ep last night & I think it was genius to delay the announcement of the winner until tonight.
    Those high figures will surely transfer to tonight, especially with The Bloch finishing in a couple of weeks while MKR will bring back every contestant just to drag it out like past years.
    The Block still rules in my house.

  6. Channel 9 holding back the room winner until tonight’s The Block might pay off in the short term, but constantly giving the audience the finger won’t solve their long-term reputation problems.
