Time to come back to The Good Wife

If you haven't seen The Good Wife for a while, trust me, now is an excellent time to drop back in.

There is a big storyline over the next few weeks as Alicia looks to leave Lockhart / Gardner as an associate. Think betrayal, lies, anger….

The show may be in its fifth season but the writing and performances are as strong as ever.

We’re a little behind the US but I’ve also noticed that there are “bombshell” episodes currently airing in the US that are being branded as the best-ever for the show.

As Diane (Christine Baranski) prepares to take on her new role as a Supreme Court judge, her relationship with Lockhart/Gardner is in tatters. As a way of taking control of her personal life, Diane marries her long time flame Kurt McVeigh (Gary Cole).

Alicia (Julianna Margulies) attempts to obtain Lockhart/Gardner files as she prepares to depart the firm, but not without raising the suspicions of her mentor and manager Diane Lockhart.

Carrie Preston returns in her Emmy Award winning role as lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni, representing Lockhart/Gardner when a former employee files a sexual harassment suit against the firm.

9:30pm Wednesday on TEN.

  1. People should never have stopped watching it! Best drama/law show on tv and in recent years. This season is superb the storyline is outstanding.

  2. I wanted to watch this show….but missed the pilot and thought I would not be able to keep track of the story….
But I will watch now and see how I go…

  3. Normally we record all shows we enjoy and then have a small binge of say 3 or 4 episodes together in the one hit and do the same thing a few weeks later.

But Good Wife is one we record but watch over lunch the next day – one of the better shows on TV these days.

It deserves a lot more viewers than it gets on 10.

  4. The shows always been good, but this season is killing it! Episode 5 would actually serve as a second pilot almost, def recommend for everyone to start watching

  5. Couldn’t agree more. I’ve watched since the pilot and am completely hooked, but unfortunately for TEN I live in regional NSW I so can’t go towards the overnight viewers count (well the almighty 5 city one anyway). My way of making up for it – watching on TENPlay the next day :p

  6. Always been a great show and the storyline good, pity nobody watches 10 any more as they missing out.

PS Compare to Revenge where they have run out of story after season 1 and now just make up stuff to fill the hours.

  7. This season is simply amazing! The last few seasons I have just watched an ep here and there but I watched the first ep of this season and I’m glued to it now! So much going on 🙂

  8. Very much agree. This season, 13 episodes in, has been one of the best seasons of The Good Wife and especially the episode “Hitting The Fan” and “The Decision Tree”
