Will Community get a 6th season renewal?
If NBC says no then the show may yet continue as a streaming series. Or crowd-sourced movie.

If you’re wondering whether Community will get a renewal for a sixth season, creator Dan Harmon says there’s still no word about an order from NBC, but it’s conceivable the cult comedy could have a future online.
Harmon said he’s heard “whispers from dark corners” about the possibility of it continuing through a streaming format, such as Netflix or Hulu should NBC opt out.
“I think that we’re old reliable, like a Tupperware in the fridge,” he told Deadline.
“We’ll find out when the network is the hungriest.
“There seems like there’s a space where we could do something; one can go to Hulu or Netflix. It’s a new business model.
“Whether [streaming] is the best for Community, I don’t know. It’s a network sitcom. It’s like, ‘Let’s take this sonnet that didn’t work for everyone and turn it into a limerick,” he said.
As to whether a Season 6 would include Chevy Chase, Harmon has stated it would take a special situation for Chase, who had creative differences with the show, to return.
“When I say special situation, I mean it’s none of my business. I wasn’t around when he parted with the studios. I’ve heard there were contractual disagreements.
“I would love to work with him again; he’s a constant singularity of humanity.”
At a Paleyfest panel Harmon also joked that the fans could potentially crowd-source a Community movie. “They’ll make it. They can each take a frame and we’ll be done,” he said.
“If we get a sixth season, they owe us a movie, right?”

And there is still a slim chance NBC could renew it. Crisis and Believe have tanked leaving The Blacklist (after The Voice) was their only new success.
Networks and producers are suffering from the high failure rates and shows that wouldn’t normally get renewed are being renewed early, especially if they have syndication and DVD sales.
They better make a 6th season!
It’d be interesting to see what they do free from a network. Where there’d be less interference and they could completely break from the sitcom structure of ad breaks and have more freedom in telling a story.

Well they can’t really bring back Chevy after how they wrote him out of Season 5 (Don’t worry, no spoilers) Though I only watched Community to begin with purely for Chevy.
If it goes crowd-sourced – I’m more than happy to through a few triple figures their way. Or Netflix – pick it up of NBC turfs it. But I want my #SixSeasonsAndAMovie or #EightSeasonsAndAThemePark.

The addition of Jonathon Banks and getting rid of Chevy Chase has made this season very good.
It would be great if Donald Glover returned if there’s a 6th season,even if it’s only for a few episodes.

I want 6 seasons and a movie – a 6th season on NBC – Even just 13 episodes – and I will most definitely contribute to a kickstarter campaign or similar for a movie.

Who would of thought that a throwaway line in Season 2 (about The Cape no less!) would come true for my beloved Community.
I’m 95% convinced that we’ll get another season and then a movie.
