Weekend Today is has shuffled its presenters as Leila McKinnon begins maternity leave.
News presenter Deborah Knight will join Cameron Williams, co-hosting on the couch while Sylvia Jeffreys becomes the shows news reader.
Jeffreys started in Brisbane as an on-air reporter for Nine News in 2009, and moved to Sydney two years ago.
“Sylvia has been getting a lot more exposure. We have been throwing a lot more challenges at her,’’ Nine head of news and current affairs Darren Wick told The Australian.
“She has one the busiest cards on the network. She is doing 6pm weather, Weekend Today and filling in for other jobs from time to time.”

The most boring weekend breakfast show on tv cameron has no personality whatsoever .thank goodness for weekend sunrise so much more fun and informative .andrew and monique have much better chemistry as the ratings prove.
Great news, I like both of them. Weekend Today will be in good hands while Leila is on maternity leave.
