What kind of depraved mind would use the television industry and loyal viewers as the butt of an April Fool’s Day joke?

Hmmm, have to think about that one.

Anyway, Chrissie Swan and Jane Hall, the good folk at MIX 101.1 had a little fun at the expense of My Kitchen Rules.

Listeners flooded the Channel Seven switchboard when they thought eliminated contestants Carly and Tresne had revealed the winners in an “off air” interview.

Judge Manu Feildel took aim at the two….

And in other TV-related pranks, Crikey reported the SBS board will now include Sophie Mirabella and News Corporation columnist Piers Akerman.

  2. omg, that Crikey article has a ring of truth about it (well, maybe not Piers Ackerman). After all, Howard stacked the Boards of both the ABC and SBS with his cronies during his time as PM and Abbott does not appear to be a fan. Still, that would be preferable to selling them off.
