    @ Dr_Rudi….I completely agree….re GN…..
The Voice….do not care for what I have seen on the promos this year….
And I do not have the best eyesight…but the compact look is fine by me…not an issue….just took me by surprise when I came in… 🙂

  2. Drama makes TV shows and if the voice is up against master chef ten will have no viewers as that show seems to do so well witch I don’t understand. I hope the voice this year is a fail because really how many new singers do we need to see that will never make it overseas and become a huge hit? Channel 9 sucks for programming and TV shows the only shows that rate well are the block and tbbt

  3. I appreciate I’m one of less than 300k sticking with Graham Norton. Here again, is some free advice for TEN.

    1) Pick a time, and stick to it.

    2) Screen the episodes in order, and stick to it.

  4. Secret Squirrel – we can’t wait for Master Chef. It is about real cooks and not drama queens like on MKR. I think Masterchef will still rate OK, even this year when Ten has been down.

People may reward them for not showing all repeats for the last 2 weeks like Nine has especially. I watch nothing on Nine but will try the Voice once again but that is about it.

  5. F1 was shown on ONE again – so ratings were very good, proving Ten does not have to push it onto their main channel and show it only in SD quality.

I am thankful they changed their mind and showed it on ONE, where I enjoyed watching the race. Riccardo doing so well can only raise the Aussie audience IMHO. 🙂 Well done Ten

  6. @ David – by the looks of it it was the Motorsport on ONE which was the biggest influence on TEN’s total share, not Sound of Music given TEN’s primary channel was still 4% behind ABC1. But nevertheless it’s a little worrying that such an old and long movie got better ratings than the previous Sunday movie repeats. But it is a sign that people will watch TEN if there is something to watch with little competition.

  7. Good to see Ten get 11.8% on a Sunday. Doesn’t happen all that often (usually under 10%). Ten advertised the film perfectly, and rated well (for its length). They should advertise properly in ratings season too!

  8. Secret Squirrel

There’s Ten’s schedule for the next few months right there – Masterchef at 7pm followed by The Sound of Music.

Odd how it rated relatively higher with the younger demo than “the oldies”. Perhaps seeing it 17 times is enough after all, even for the tragics.

  9. 10, got above the 20% mark and actually beat ABC, which is nice to see. Sound Of Music probably helped with that and showing that was actually a nice move by 10.

  10. Apologies for changes to the table display today. WordPress has made some changes that affect this, and I will need to look into those this week. Bear with me!

Sound of Music lifted TEN above the 20% share which is a bit awkward. Look to the share not the actual average, given the movie was 3.5 hrs.
