TEN: First week of Easter non-ratings

TEN has an almost unchanged schedule next week, chockful of new episodes.

2014-04-08_1724TEN is being very generous next week with an almost unchanged schedule chockful of new episodes.

There will be new Have You Been Paying Attention?, Elementary, Graham Norton, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Puberty Blues, The Good Wife, So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Law & Order: SVU, The Living Room  and Hawaii Five-0.

Maybe it’s designed to attract more viewers while the others are resting.

TEN has even resigned its Biggest Loser finale to the non-ratings week, which is a rather staggering move because it will now not impact on end of year figures or be tallied into a list of top shows at year’s end.

  1. Sorry David, but I think your use of ‘generous’ should only apply to your generosity towards Network Ten in its time of need, and the following is not intended as me putting the boot into Ten.

I think Ten’s programming over the next weeks that you complement them on, is possibly straight out of their well worn ‘ How to antagonize ‘loyal’ viewers once again’ pigeon hole.

Because all this happens for many viewers during that period:-

    School holidays begin and finish.
The Easter holidays week end ( traditionally the most popular last big break before winter), only this is one of the times it links into Anzac Day(popular linked rec leave break).

Many public attractions planned/organized including NSW Royal Easter Show etc., as well as Aus.wide family reunions.

EPG’s ‘ Do Not Align’ for recording during normal times, longW/E’s, best of luck???

  2. If The Biggest Loser does pick up some more viewers then maybe they could promote some more shows. At least I assume that’s their logic. I don’t know if it’ll work. It does seem doubtful. Especially considering they still have the show before it Have You Been Paying Attention? Maybe it should be on later. Or in the afternoon before the News sometime.
