The Real Housewives of Melbourne: reunion special

Part 1 of a "fiery and feisty" reunion special airs this Sunday on Arena.

rhom.jpgReunion specials for reality shows are proving to be of interest to viewers and this weekend Arena will screen part-one of the “fiery and feisty reunion special” for The Real Housewives of Melbourne.

Hosted by Alex Perry this is likely to address much of the media stories and content that has surrounded the show (some of which has skated on thin legal ice).

If you’re a fan of this genre, the 6 local ladies have doubtless kept you glued to their car-crash antics.

Remember, it’s all fun and games until somebody loses and eyelash.

The series, which has become a ratings success and has made six affluent, successful, dramatic and relatively unknown women from Melbourne household names, will air even more dirty laundry during the two-part reunion special screening on Sunday May 4 and May 11 at 8.30pm AET.

Hosted by designer Alex Perry, the reunion, filmed in Melbourne, sees all six Housewives, Andrea Moss, Chyka Keebaugh, Gina Liano, Jackie Gillies, Janet Roach and Lydia Schiavello come together to confront each other and set the record straight.

With season one providing more drama than excepted on and off the screen and the breakdown of once solid friendships, the reunion is sure deliver even more tears, tension and animosity with one housewife storming off set.

Produced by Matchbox Pictures in conjunction with Foxtel, The Real Housewives of Melbourne is the first Australian instalment of the world’s number one lifestyle reality franchise and screens Sundays at 8.30pm AET only on Foxtel’s Arena.

Sunday at 8.30pm AET on Arena.

  1. David, can you please give us the ratings for RHOM. Overall has it really been such an audience winner, as Foxtel claims, or is that just hype?

  2. Gina & Chyka were the only decent ones on the on the show. Jackie is not far behind but tagged along with the bullies. Yes Gina sent them a ‘legal’ email but her interview with pop sugar the other day revealed so much more, the way the girls handled the situation was not acceptable. I don’t mind if they keep Janet as well as she admitted in the end she caused some trouble for Gina, as she loves gossiping …at least there was a bit of honesty there. Andrea and Lydia must go though!

  3. Any word on a Season 2 David? I would have thought given the media attention this show has been attracting it would be a given. However given the extended time it takes to film, production would have to start asap. I don’t think the audience will want to wait till next February for another 10 episodes.
