Later this month the Universal Channel will premiere a new US medical drama, just a day after its launch on NBC.
The Night Shift was created by Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah (Just Shoot Me, Freaks & Geeks, 90210, Life As We Know It), and follows the lives of the staff who work the late night shift in the ER at San Antonio Medical Center.
The cast includes Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Freddy Rodriguez, Ken Leung and Brendan Fehr and appearances by Scott Wolf.
The tagline is “50% Hero / 50% Heartbreaker.”
Welcome to The Night Shift – an ensemble medical show about a group of ex-Army doctors who work the chaotic night shift at San Antonio Memorial and do whatever it takes to help their patients. Using battlefield-tested medical skills, the doctors clash with hospital bureaucrats who are more worried about the bottom line than the lives of their patients.
8:30pm Thursday May 29 on Universal.
