CBS 2014-15: Upfronts’ trailers

2014-05-15_1317.jpgCBS has released the full trailers for its fall slate of new dramas and comedies which see new shows for Halle Berry, Tea Leoni and the latest NCIS spin-off in New Orleans.

CBS also has the CSI spin-off, CSI: Cyber and Battle Creek from Vince Gilligan and David Shore, plus Matthew Perry’s The Odd Couple remake (but no clips yet).

At their Upfronts presentation CBS Corp. chairman and CEO Leslie Moonves told media that year-round programming was now their priority.

“It just enables us to have more originals throughout the entire year,” he said.

“You’re going to see periods that have no repeats all year.”

Madam Secretary:
Unexpectedly thrust into the position of Secretary of State, ex-CIA operative and college professor Elizabeth McCord must drive international diplomacy and wrangle office politics, all while balancing a complex family life. Tea Leoni and Tim Daly star.

 

Stalker:
In Los Angeles, the detectives of the Threat Assessment Unit tackle the toughest stalking cases for the LAPD. Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott star.

 

Extant:
Astronaut Molly Woods went on a 13-month solo mission. She did not return alone. Halle Berry stars in Extant.

 

New Orleans: NCIS:
The New Orleans office of NCIS does things the old school way. Let the good times roll. Scott Bakula stars in NCIS: New Orleans.

 


Scorpion:
An eccentric genius and his team join forces with a government agent to fight the new threats facing America in the digital age. Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick and Katharine McPhee star.

 


The McCarthys:
When the gay son of a sports-crazed Boston clan decides to fly the coop, his loving family has other plans. Tyler Ritter, Laurie Metcalf, Jack McGee and Joey McIntyre star in The McCarthys. This Fall on CBS.

  1. I like the look of a lot of these, I guess if they get picked up here the good ones go to TEN and what they do not want go elsewhere, I do not know just guessing. But how did Nine end up with Big Bang and POI, were they deals cut before TEN.s deal with CBS. Sunday nights look good on CBS

  2. Stalker, Extant and Madam Secretary look great however I won’t be watching NCIS: New Orleans as i hated the planted pilot. It felt really forced to me and i really didn’t like any of the key characters. They should have done NCIS: RED instead.

  3. I hope NCIS: New Orleans is better than part 1 of last week’s NCIS, introducing them.
    I’m a fan of Scott Bakula, but I really didn’t like it at all.
    Still, I hope it goes well for them.

  4. Stalker looks really good! Although Nikita should’ve had a longer last season, it looks like Maggie Q has moved on to another badass role. Extant actually looks intriguing so I guess I’ll check that out too.

  6. I don’t think any of these dramas will get renewed for a second season

    The trailer for ‘Stalker’ looks better than the others but it looks like another Criminal Minds clone – will probably be canceled after six episodes. I do like Kevin Williamson’s work in The Following and Vampire Diaries/Scream but this show does not interest me

    The only CBS shows I watch are POI, The Good Wife and Elementary, glad to see they are retaining their timeslots
