Former and current hosts on The View gathered to farewell veteran Barbara Walters as she bows out from her 50 year broadcasting career, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Meredith Vieira and Elisabeth Hasselbeck seated beside Rosie O’Donnell.
When O’Donnell was asked what she misses most about the show, she joked “Fighting with the skinny one!”
There is a longer video but with lesser quality here.
Walters has also filmed her last ever episode, which is yet to air, in which Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton turned up to say goodbye.
“I want to thank you for being a pioneer, and everything that that word means. It means being the first: the first…to knock down the door, to break down the barriers, to pave the road that we all walk on,” said Winfrey.
Among the women who walked onto the stage were Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, Jane Pauley, Joan Lunden, Connie Chung, Elizabeth Vargas, Robin Roberts, Amy Robach, Juju Chang, Savannah Guthrie, Natalie Morales, Tamron Hall, Hoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Gifford, Maria Shriver, Mika Brzezinski, Paula Zahn, Gayle King and Lisa Ling.
Also appearing was Michael Douglas watched on by an audience including media executives and faces such as Bob Iger, Anne Sweeney, Ben Sherwood, Anderson Cooper, Debbie Matenopoulos and Rosie O’Donnell.

Found myself oddly emotional watching that; grew up watching bits and pieces of it on TV until we finay got it here and watched it through it’s whole run. Sad that it’s not on here anymore, but this video was a nice memory of what was.
Barbara is a true talent and The View is a legacy she should be proud of; what a brilliant voice for women.
So everyone was on their best behaviour? No point in watching then really.
