Stephens’ Executive Producer credits include such projects as Better Man, Killing Time, Mr & Mrs Murder, Devil’s Dust, Schapelle, Newstopia, The Choir of Hard Knocks and The King -several of which have picked up industry awards and critical acclaim.
“I felt it was time to freshen up the batteries and explore other opportunities, particularly in Drama and Comedy, which are my passions,” he told TV Tonight.
The former D-Generation performer also heads his own Bravado Productions, Stephens is not planning to expand his production company but looking forward to new horizons.
“I’m proud of my time at Fremantle and proud of what we’ve put out in terms of Drama,” he said.
“It will be exciting to be around new people and a new space.”
FMA is yet to announce a replacement.
