Matt King becomes Development Exec at CJZ

UK actor, comedian and writer Matt King has been appointed Development Executive with Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder.

King, known for his roles in UK comedy Peep Show and Foxtel’s Spirited, moved to Australia with his family last month.

CJZ Managing Director & co-founder Nick Murray worked with King in the 1990s when he was living in Australia as a comedy writer.

“It’s great to be working with Matt again,” said Murray. “His skills on both sides of the camera will bring a unique perspective to our creative team and he will play a key role in our development and production projects. There are exciting times ahead in local production and real opportunities in Australian UK co-productions.”

King said: “I’m passionate about creating original ideas and have been very fortunate to have written, produced and performed in several successful TV and film projects over the past 15 years. I have also worked with some hugely creative people and credit those people who encouraged me when I was first starting out.

“Nick Murray was one of these people, so to have the opportunity to work alongside him and the team at CJZ is incredibly exciting. I look forward to developing new projects for both the local and international markets at a time when I feel Australian television is entering an exciting new era.”
