The Jenji Kohan dramedy has been approved for a further 13 episodes, ahead of its June 6th return on Netflix. Last year it was also renewed for a second run ahead of its series debut.

Starring Taylor Schilling, Orange recently won its first GLAAD Award for outstanding comedy.

It airs in Australia on Showcase.

  1. I very strongly recommend this show to those that haven’t seen it. It really is brilliant writing coupled with fantastic acting. Very watchable. If you like Wentworth, then this show is in the same vein but with many different twists. It’s a show that perfectly combines comedy with some dark plots that will shock many people. Word of warning though, avoid if you are offended by the “c” word. It’s used… a lot!

  2. Fantastic news. IMO this was the best new show of last year. Not very many TV shows manage to balance between comedy and drama but this show does it perfectly. Most tend to lean more towards either comedy or drama. But this show manages to get it bang in the middle. And with outstanding acting, especially from Kate Mulgrew and Laura Prepon.
