Returning: Play Along with Sam

Season 2 of Play Along with Sam, with former ‘Wiggle’ Sam Moran, begins next week on Nick Jr.

The locally-produced series combining educational content, adventures, songs and dances is part of a weekday morning music block featuring The Fresh Beat Band, Team Umizoomi, Bubble Guppies and Dora the Explorer.

“We have taken the series to a whole new level, yet again. Not only will it include new songs, but also new segments which will transport the show out of my playroom and into everyday locations that families can really relate to,” said Sam Moran.

“What I love about this series is that we have continued to build on the strong educational foundation of our first series and create completely new adventures and learning experiences for kids. I hope families enjoy it as much as I do!”

The Logie and ASTRA nominated series encourages children to play along and learn through music and movement in four exciting locations – a park, pre-school, music school and farm. The series features 12 new original songs written by Moran and includes music from the first series, nominated for an Aria Award in 2013 for Best Children’s Album.

Play Along with Sam champions Nick Jr.’s smart place to play tagline and learning through play philosophy. Regular segments include songs that entertain and assist in pre-school development such as rhyming riddles, fun and energetic one-minute dance parties and special sound adventures, where Sam captures and releases mystery sounds.
