2014-05-30_0144The second season of the US adaptation The Bridge begins in July with with the body of a cartel member found dead on U.S. soil.

Sonya Cross (Diane Kruger) from El Paso PD and her Mexican counterpart, Marco Ruiz (Demián Bichir) must again work together to solve the case.

The cast also includes Australian actor Nathan Phillips (Wolf Creek).

Reeling from the death of his son, Marco is still dealing with corrupt cops and the demands of the cartel while Sonya meets an unexpected man with connections to her past who threatens to come between her and he boss, Lieutenant Hank Wade. The case quickly pulls them all into a complex web of money laundering, police corruption, and the Juarez Drug War which infiltrates the suburban streets of El Paso.

The Bridge co-stars Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs), Annabeth Gish (The X-Files), Matthew Lillard (Scream), Thomas M. Wright (Top Of The Lake) and introducing Franka Potente (American Horror Story), Bruno Bichir (Rabbit on the Moon).

Express from the U.S. Tuesday July 15 at 8.30pm AEST on FX.

  1. No afternoon express this year? i liked watching it at 3PM lastyear when they showed it. I wonder why they are not doing afternoon plays this year, It worked for Walking Dead and Showcase seem to be doing it for more shows.

    Also i why is it on a 5 day delay this year? FX are going backwards. Bad move.
