@David – yes many good programs have not performed as hoped on Ten. I love the Good Wife but don’t watch Puberty Blues. My wife watches neither show.
We watch Masterchef and Offspring together and really enjoy those shows.
I do think that Ten is making progress now, especially seeing they have made M/Chef about cooking again and not hyped up dramas and it has very nice contestants.
Ten must be pleased to be over 21% again and scoring shows in all the demographics 🙂
Just noting that House Rules ratings of Wednesday (ADL/MEL/PER only) + Thursday (SYD/BRI only) was1,138,000 total.
@Secret Squirrel – yeah, Molly’s a real gem
So damn earnest but so likeable at the same time.
To use an Americanism, her character so has the audience “rooting for her”
Hope she pulls through but I suspect she won’t.
It will spur on poor old meek and mild Gus to avenge her death by seeking the truth though.
i don’t think people are abandoing channel 10, i just think it’s the programs they have on.
put on quality scripted dramas, comedies and great reality programs like Masterchef and people will watch it.
also loving that they are not doing a Masterclass each week. people were not watching those episodes.
i love masterchef and offspring. two great examples of shows done right. if channel 10 can get more like those on air it could be back in the race.
TEN already has some great shows, but many have been overlooked. Puberty Blues, The Good Wife.
@Angela – agree. Malvo’s a great, if disturbing, character. I have no more info than you but Molly’s the only female of any note and a pretty central character so I’d be betting on her pulling through.
Wow ! Well that was an intense ep of Fargo last night.
Malvo really is a completely cold blooded psychopath – Billy Bob plays the part so well.
Really hope Deputy Molly survives but it’s not looking good for her.
@Bullswool – AFL is shown live on 7Mate in Qld and probably NSW also. I get the sense that fewer people are watching both AFL on 7 and NRL on 9 than in years gone by, probably due to the better coverage on Foxtel. 7 & 9 paid huge sums for the TV rights and the ratings seem to be dwindling. A poor return on the investment.
I don’t think AFL has been doing as well on Seven lately, maybe because they now show it live on 7Mate in Perth.
Surely Peppa Pig has to hit no 1 sometime soon, what with all the attention it’s been getting.
What’s goin’ on with House Rules???
Nothing. Played in different cities on diff nights due to AFL, as per opening sentence.
Britain’s got talent is doing very well for GO! I still think that an Australia’s got talent would do well and is a show that I think channel 10 should consider picking up.
