26 Comments:

  1. How many more times do people have to state that 1 million is a good result with so many pgm channels to choose from since digital tv.
M/Chef is doing very well against strong competition. The Project is pulling better numbers. Offspring is doing very well. Ten will be happier now but they
have to wait until more viewers are willing to try Ten once again. Commonwealth games and Rugby may help with that. I hope they use ONE again like during the Olympics.
Anyway 1.4 million for House Rules will make 7 happy as that pgm had a very slow start, maybe due to The Block finishing just prior.
We dont like either of those pgms on 7 and 9 but many people love it. We all have different preferences 🙂

  2. House Rules is not very successful. There wasn’t a real competitor out there. So 1.4 million is low for an expensive Prime Time program.

  3. Considering the voice wasn’t on tuesday, 10 should consider masterchef a fail. House rules seems to be holding steady if not growing slightly. Once the voice is over i think 9 will have declining ratings again although a new series of the block is on the cards. Looks good for 7 with x factor returning.

  4. Ten did well last night, with less competition (The Voice being on twice a week now has helped).

House Rules doing great numbers too

  5. Thanks David, better numbers than I thought.
I hope Ten can continue with these kinds of numbers once Masterchef is finished. Last year The Bachelor built a loyal audience, even though I won’t be watching I think it is probably a more classy show than when love comes to town.

  6. David what did The Roast on ABC2 last night rate? I discovered it a few weeks ago and I think it is hilarious. I never see it in the top 20 thought. It deserves high praise, very funny and topical show.

  7. Foreign Correspondent was excellent viewing last night with lots of footage of the Tianemen massacre and the lead up. A great history lesson for my kids.

  8. In theory, if you look at TEN’s programming for tonight as compared to the rubbish on 7 and 9 tonight, then TEN should win the night. How can people keep watching Shit Rules, repeats of TBBT and that terrible show ‘When Love Comes To Town’

  9. Loving this season of Wentworth. No more dreary flashbacks to slow the momentum and Pamela Rabe has lifted it to a new level. Thank God one Australian broadcaster can be bothered broadcasting new local drama on a Tuesday night.

  10. [email protected] June 4, 2014 at 10:26 am –
“Agree, David – Tuesday night is a wasteland”

Not quite – Orphan Black on SBS2 is well worth watching.

The Catalyst special on bushfires and global warming last night on the ABC was also really interesting – quite alarming regarding the rapidly increasing rate of megafires throughout the world over the last few years.

  11. ‘sow’ below, should have been ‘show’ – sorry typos slip through, even though I read it back – silly me. I blame my keyboard, could not possibly be me LOL.

  12. Pay TV ratings are dismal as well for that night with no sport. How can uncle Rupert survive?
No wonder he is trying to pinch all popular sports for Foxtel 🙁

  13. Observations from me:
M/Chef doing better this year has lifted NCIS back to near the mark it should be for such an excellent TV show.
Project rates better with Ray Martin on the desk. It is good to see as it is a fantastic pgm to get news in a light hearted way.
We don’t watch House Rules or The Block when it’s on.
Comments on 9 as Nein. It is ch. Nein for us apart from The Voice which makes it ch. Ja for that sow LOL.

  14. Good to see NCIS lift because of MCA. Although WLCTT isn’t rating that high it is still doing ok and there isn’t much else that would rate that well for 9 at the timeslot anyway. It should stay around those figures for the rest of the season.

  15. House Rules is flying now. Should do similar numbers tonight considering all Nine is showing are repeats of TBBT. Bogan Hunters continues to do great numbers on 7mate.
