Are you an expert in science, geology, criminology, medicine, or science? Foxtel wants to know about you.

clapper-boardCasting directors are on the hunt for new personalities for Foxtel factual programming, for both local and international documentaries.

Kirsty de Vallance, co-founder of A Cast of Thousands says, “We are looking for professional men and women from a wide range of academic backgrounds. We are here to uncover the most passionate, experienced and authentic people we can find.

“We are looking for people who are passionate about their field, who would be interested potentially in an on camera role, who can take someone unfamiliar with their world on a fantastic voyage of discovery. You don’t need to have had experience in front of the camera, or have been on television in the past. Everyone has to start somewhere, and we are looking for Australia’s most intriguing experts, nothing more, nothing less.”

The fields of expertise can be specific or general depending on your qualifications.

A Cast of Thousands is keen to see people from, but not limited to, the following:

ï‚· The Sciences
ï‚· Engineering
ï‚· Geology
ï‚· Marine Biology
ï‚· Astrophysics
ï‚· Archaeology
ï‚· Historians

ï‚· Medicine

Applications close 5pm (AEST) Friday 11th July at www.expertbank.com.au

  1. Are geology, marine biology, and astrophysics not sciences? Perhaps these are the areas of science that they are most interested in. Dinosaurs, sea creatures, and space are common subjects for cable docos.
