Killing Spree for Nine, Foxtel.

Nine & Foxtel pick up the rights to UK factual crime series with some of the world’s deadliest rampage killers.

2014-06-12_1220Nine and Foxtel have picked up the rights to UK factual crime series Killing Spree, which looks at some of the world’s deadliest rampage killers, including the Suffolk Strangler and the Columbine Massacre.

The 12 part series includes testimonies from friends, detectives, journalists and those lucky enough to escape with their lives, plus forensic evidence, news archives and autopsy reports.

Nine will air the series in a primetime slot while Foxtel will be airing it in both Australia and New Zealand.

Anthony Appell, Head of Sales, Twofour Rights, said: “From the producers of Born to Kill, Killing Spree is a brand new evergreen crime brand and we are delighted that our clients have picked up the series in primetime crime slots. Killing Spree packs a real punch questioning the world’s deadliest rampage killers.”

The series has already aired in the UK on Channel 5.

Update: Killing Spree premiered last night at 10pm and attracted 256,000 viewers.

  1. Good, I like these kinds of shows. Ten and One have ’48 hours’ which is often very good if you’re into true crime stories/investigations.

  2. How do Foxtel plan to screen this in New Zealand, where they don’t have any presence there? Or will it air on Sky TV in NZ? (which is a News Corp owned pay tv network)
