Returning: Falling Skies

US sci-fi Falling Skies is back on air later this month for its fourth season.

There are 12 episodes this season, 2 more than usual, with appearances by Mira Sorvino in a major recurring role plus Scarlett Byrne.

In the aftermath of a hostile alien takeover, the earth is in ruins and survivors are few. In the months following the attack, those who have avoided capture or death have banded together in the difficult task of fighting for the future of humanity. Falling Skies focuses on the resilience of the survivors and their determination to maintain their humanity when all else has been destroyed. The weary warriors of the 2nd Mass have little time to savor their recent victory over the alien invaders. The Espheni may have been weakened but they are still a threat, and will once again wreak havoc.
