Seven takes back ratings week

Ratings: House Rules helps Seven to edge back in front of Nine, and TEN pips the ABC.

Seven had twice as many episodes of House Rules than The Voice on Nine, which helped cement their week. The renovation show was as high as 1.65m for Seven with other brands being Seven News (Sun: 1.34m), Sunday Night (1.12m) and A Place to Call Home (966,000).

The Voice remained the week’s best performer at Sun: 1.88m for Nine then Nine News (Sun: 1.39m) and The Big Bang Theory (Tue: 1.26m).

MasterChef (Thu: 934,000) led TEN’s week. Other performers included NCIS (830,000) and Offspring (825,000).

ABC1 scored with Call the Midwife (836,000), ABC News (Sat: 813,000) and The Checkout (788,000). Secrets of the Manor House was best on SBS ONE at 337,000 viewers.

Seven won every night except Sunday and Thursday which were taken by Nine. ABC bettered TEN on Monday and Saturday.

Seven was first in 4 cities, except Sydney which fell to Nine.

Pretty much channel 9 only has the voice and going by its current decline in viewership i think 9 is going to have to find some new programs that will have any impact next year as it can’t rely on one show. Once X factor starts i think 7 will sweep the weekly ratings for the remainder of the year just like it did through most of late summer and most of autumn!!

  2. Now that The Voice is only on 2 nights per week, and House rules seems to be viewed more on Mondays than The Voice thought that channel 7 would take out this week as all that 9 has to offer at the moment are programme repeats.
