  1. I see Ten did OK against State of Origin and nearly beat or equalled Ch 7 with the main channels. Although that isn’t typical.

I’d like to thank the ABC for the Python show as well as Lateline afterwards. I suspected the Python show would be a bit silly with some serious underlying themes. It was.

Although I wasn’t sure if it would work for me as well as it being risky these days watching stuff. I saw that it was going to end past 10.30pm so hoped it would be a pretty safe watch and treated reasonably so took a risk. Thankfully it was; I again think it was the best I could hope for this century for that time. Including the credits but really before that during the show. So I guess I was one of a few watching.

I wonder how many in the ABC or elsewhere was amused by the complaints to BBC4 scene.

  2. With the regionals, SoO was 4 million. Add the people watching it at pubs, public venues and mates places, and it woild easily break 5 million. We had 4 extra people at our house.

  3. 2.68M, that is amazing! The game really had a heap of momentum this year, the buildup was really good. Congratulations to the NSW team on a well fought series win and commiserations to Queensland.

Poida, Seven always runs “dead” against SOO, they pull whatever their normal programming is as they know it is fairly pointless to maintain normal programming on Origin night, especially in Brisbane and Sydney, where we are all obsessed with the game.

  4. Not bad for M/Chef surviving a night against State of origin. Seven chickened out to put House Rules against it.

Glad Ten provided something to watch in Adelaide e.g. Masterchef 🙂

  5. italianguy1987

I thought House Rules was on Sunday – Wednesday nights. Why wasn’t it on last night? Need to know David.

Also, great to see MC and Offspring doing so well for 10.

If 10 does not renew Offspring for next year then channel 10 have really lost their minds. It is doing so well.

  6. The replay of Origin on Fox Sports 1 HD from 10.30pm is in HD and looks 100 times better than channel Nine.

Would be interesting to know if Origin on GEM in Perth actually really is in HD.

And… being 2014, why can’t it be in HD for everyone – I know GEM gets a 4% share but on a night when Nine has total domination – why can’t they simulcast in HD on GEM?

  7. Great result for 9 and 10 nearly equal with 7 in primary shares. I dont watch the state of origin but will be interesting to see how the ratings go for game 3 since NSW won.
