Doctor Who scripts leaked

BBC pleads with fans not to share its secrets after 5 Doctor Who scripts were leaked online.

2014-06-29_0151The BBC has pleaded with fans not to share its secrets from Doctor Who after five scripts from the upcoming eighth series were leaked online.

The scripts include the opening feature length episode “Deep Breath” by Steven Moffat and four others.

BBC Worldwide issued a statement to RadioTimes.com which read: “BBC Worldwide is currently investigating a security issue around Doctor Who Series 8 where unfinished material has inadvertently been made public. We deeply regret this and apologise to all the show’s fans, the BBC and the cast and crew who have worked tirelessly making the series.

“We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches. We know only too well that Doctor Who fans are the best in the world and we thank them for their help with this and their continued loyalty.”

The scripts are understood to have been disseminated online after being sent to the BBC Worldwide’s newly opened Latin America headquarters in Miami for translation.

“The opening episode is being simulcast globally so of course translations have to be prepared in advance,” said a BBC source.

The series debuts in Australia on ABC1 on Sunday August 24th.

Watching the episode it miles better than some awful script without the special affects added to it.
