Molly calls Brian Taylor “a belligerent turd”

Here’s one of the reasons to love Live telly.
Last night on ABC2’s Dirty Laundry Live, Molly Meldrum was the show’s weekly After Party Assistant.
The segment involves a guest in the green room making a signature cocktail for host Lawrence Mooney.
Meldrum whipped up a suitably pop music cocktail that nearly triggered a coughing fit.
Before he was done, he also acknowledged Ian Thorpe’s coming out, but couldn’t resist speaking out against fellow Channel Seven colleague Brian Taylor, who last weekend called an AFL player a “big poofter.”
“What was he doing?” asked Meldrum.
“All I can say about Brian Taylor, known as BT …. BTÂ you are a belligerent turd.
“And all the shit that comes out of your mouth. Why don’t you shove it up your arse?”
Best bits commence around 3:45min.

So glad Molly is here today after his terrible accident and telling it how it is…go Molly!
@MandyJ…some people just can’t take a joke though and things do get totally blown out of proportion. I bet BT can handle Mollys very funny comment though and probably can take a joke
Ha !
Molly was in fine form last night.
Man’s a treasure – no one else like him.
I saw this last night, Molly was in fine form. I thought his summation of what comes out of BT’s mouth was right on the money. Well said Molly.
I was lucky enough to catch that live and it was my absolute highlight of the week, and probably the month. Say it like it is, Molly. I’m sick of apologists whining “people just can’t take a joke these days”.
It was great to see Molly on our FTA screens. It was nice of Marty Sheargold to give his seat to Molly when he came into the studio.
A couple of other observations – Molly was walking very slowly; and also that he had more to say at the end of the show when MoonMan was wrapping up. Why can’t television make time for people like Molly and (someone else too often the victim of time) Father Bob ?
