  1. To the people that say X Factor has more (or better) talent. They should because they have an age range of 14 upward & also they have open auditions where they get hundreds or thousands turn up. The Voice is from 18 & over & comes mainly from invitations & some internet auditions.
They forget that the X Factor is also all about the judges with the contestants second in the scheme of things.
I do agree that was a disappointment this year as it was all about him…(They even bent over backwards to make sure his team won…)

  2. officially_k

The voice 2015 May want to take a break to be honest, give us a year to recover then come back with a fresher concept that will take us by storm like their first season, just an idea lol

  3. @ David

I’m happy to be tagged as the class idiot, but for the life of me I cannot find “ratings wraps” under the ‘News” option. Nor does searching for “ratings wraps” bring up anything other than a list of stories with “wrap” in the byline.

Perhaps you can post a image with a giant red arrow for those of us who find this a challenge. Ty.

    • Ok no prob. Let me help. I file a story on the day’s ratings on most weekdays. These are filed under News. The headline and the photo changes everyday depending on what the angle of the story is. Today’s is ‘The Voice Finale Drops for Nine.’ Tomorrow will be a different story / photo. To help highlight these, the excerpt under the story begins with the word “Ratings.” I’ve done these for years. This is where you will find numbers beyond the Top 20 rankings as supplied by OzTAM.

  4. High numbers for the Project, especially for a Monday. F/Feud doing well still. Best lead in pgm. for Ten yet.

Masterchef did very well against Voice final.
We watched Voice final, then recorded M/Chef.
Happy with the Voice winner. Agree it is too much about the judges and also next Sunday Nine are showing the stupid Block Glasshouse version at 6:30pm, so Voice for Kids will start after 7:30pm some time. Ridiculous as Kids have to go to school next day. Will that kill The Voice for Kids? Nine are playing a dangerous game. When Ten did this 3 years ago their ratings crashed and stayed down for nearly 3 years 🙁

    • It’s a little frustrating, but let me say once more: for numbers beyond the top 20 please check ratings wraps under News (this is why I keep saying it, rather than just telling you the number). Thx.

  5. Wow.
Those numbers for The Young and The Restless and Days of Our Lives are phenominal.
For a daytime soap on foxtel to rate better than primetime shows on Foxtel is huge.
The revenue Foxtel would make from those two shows with their target audience would be good too.
Channel 9 must be really wishing they stuck with both shows and looked after their loyal audiences better.

  6. The Voice for 2015 needs to follow Britains Got Talents lead and after the initial round go for 2 weeks then straight into the final. A quicker turn around may see people willing to commit. Make it a 5 week show rather than a couple of months keeping it fresh and fast

  7. The voices biggest issue is that it creates the show around the celebrities! I have never seen so much ego and attention seeking by judges when a healthy proportion of use how should focus on the contestants. It takes away the authenticity owhat the show is about! Unfortunatley with celebrity obsessed viewers in particular sydney and melbourne the rest of us had the common sense to switch off this year.

  8. Secret Squirrel

it would appear that the final of The Voice ran so late that (mainly) younger people had to go to bed before the winner was announced. Not a good look.

MC held up well which shows that it has a loyal audience.

@mandarin – I can only speak for myself but I haven’t been impressed with how much of the bulletin has been given over to hearing grieving relatives of MH17 passengers tell us how wonderful their parents/children/friends/neighbours were. It must be absolutely awful for them but it isn’t news.

  9. Good result for Masterchef considering it’s competition. After gradually decreasing ratings for The Voice, I wonder what sort I numbers it will pull next year.

Just like the three reality shows yesterday, it seems the three game shows are in good competition with each other.

  10. And I wonder why many people started to switch off The Voice. 1.6 million watching The Voice Grand Final is quite disappointing but Nine still won the night.

  11. Agree with everyone, not the best grand final numbers, from the beginning said this show is all about the judges and how good they think they are, they should concentrate more on the talent and not be so full of themselves, think the X factor has some brilliant talent so far and would hate to pick the winner even this early in the stage, we can still keep finding exceptional singers, and the judges are more interested in the contestants and encouraging them rather than themselves, which is more than can be said for The voice, glad its finished.

  12. For me, The Voice is a show that is all about the judges and not about the contestants. Its why X Factor is so good this year. They have the talent. Must say usually The Winner Announced is bigger than the overall finale, that is a rare occurrence. Looks like people got bored and couldn’t care. Great to see Masterchef doing so well late in the season. The show has really bounced back for me after the past couple of seasons. Looking forward to the finale next week. I would love it to outrate The Voice finale just to rub salt in the wounds of Nine!

  13. Good result for Masterchef and there seems to be a good increase in TEN’s early evening programming for a Monday. The problem with The Voice is that the show is built around the judges, not the talent. Like past season, I don’t see the winner becoming the next chart topping artist, we’ll have to wait for the X Factor finale for that.

  14. Nine should be very disappointed in those numbers, particularly the fact the winner announcement rated less than the grand final, which has never happened on the Voice before. Masterchef is growing from strength to strength… well done to Network Ten for creating a quality show that Australian’s are loving again! I think Masterchef may hit 1.3 to 1.5m over the final days of the competition. I would love to see the Masterchef Grand Finale achieve higher ratings that the Voice Finale!
