ABC to ‘simulcast’ Doctor Who episode
Brilliant news for Whovians who can watch Dr. Who in sync with the UK -plus an exclusive Aussie interview.

ABC will ‘simulcast’ Peter Capaldi’s movie-length Doctor Who debut, ‘Deep Breath’, with the UK, in the early hours of Sunday morning 24 August.
The episode will be available to watch on ABC iview throughout the day before its broadcast on ABC at 7.40pm Sunday 24 August.
The time for the early-morning simulcast is yet to be confirmed.
ABC has also secured an exclusive interview with Capaldi, to be conducted by Julia Zemiro.
When Julia Met the Doctor will air on Wednesday August 20 at 8pm on ABC, four days before the season return.
This will be filmed in Sydney next week during the promotional World Tour discussing Doctor Who plus Capaldi’s former roles from Local Hero to The Thick of It.

People who complain that it’s not in HD are the sort of people who will cut off their nose to spite their face.
Cinemas are showing the first episode ”Deep Breath” on August 24th in Sydney.
BBC First has only just started, clearly some shows will already have contracts with other networks here so until those contracts end shows like Atlantis and DW will stay where they are.

BBC First is a joke. It hasn’t even got Atlantis as that has gone to FOX8.
Thanks for the special info, thought they might having it fast tracked on iView. The ABC is doing it right to reduce piracy.
One difference which is important to many. BBC viewers will be able to see it in HD.
Isn’t bbc first the home of first run bbc dramas? Or is it bbc first sometimes.
