Samantha Armytage’s primetime makeover show, Bringing Sexy Back, will premiere at 7:30pm Tuesday August 12th on Seven.
Making the most of viewer interest in makeovers, each week it will feature somebody getting a style transformation.
“Bringing Sexy Back offers Australians the chance to reinvent themselves,” she has previously said. “With professional help we will empower people to make positive life changes to improve their self-image.”
“I’ve been in the public eye for more than 15 years and I know what it’s like to feel you fall short of others expectations but this show is about equipping people to make healthy life choices.”
Here’s the synopsis for the first episode.
Ned the loveable truck driver wants to get back to his sexy self and propose to the love of his life Becky. After gaining 70kgs in 2 years, Ned lost his dream job & hit rock bottom. As he begins to turn his life around, family and friends will be overwhelmed by an unbelievable transformation and a romantic marriage proposal.

So it’s a kind of revamped version of the Sonia Kruger show 10 Years Younger in 10 Days. Interesting timeslot for Bringing Sexy Back as others have said, maybe it’s a tamed down version of 10 Years Younger as well as that was a 9:30pm show (and did well in that slot).

Oh dear, a cross between Queer Eye For the Straight Guy and The Biggest Loser. Can’t see this one working. Going the same way as Overhaul and Excess Baggage…

Totally agree with the others re TAR slot. Absolutely hopeless that it starts at 9.15pm and finishes two hours later. Probably TAR for Thursday night would have been better.
They stole the time slot that TARA should have had all along! This is 9:30pm Thursday rubbish.

Wow really? After this week Thursday 8.30 opens up again as What Really Happens In Bali finishes this week. Thought this would more suit 7’s Trash night but I guess they think it will go well with Winners and Losers
