“I am grateful for this career” Chelsea Handler exits E!

The stars drop by to farewell Chelsea Handler's late night talk show after 7 years on E!

chelsea2Chelsea Handler has left the E! building.

Her late night US talk show Chelsea, Lately ended after 7 years last night, with plenty of stars dropping by.

“I’m really, really appreciative that I had this opportunity by E! that is so much fun for me and so much fun for all these people,” she said.

“I never got a chance to be serious and say thank you, and I want you to know that I am grateful for this career. Thank you very very much.

“I want to say thank you to my family, and mom I hope you’re watching me. And I’ll see you on Netflix!”

The show included appearances from Ellen DeGeneres, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Aniston, Mary McCormack, 50 Cent and Miley Cyrus.

It ended with an all-in sing-a-long including Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morissette, Gerard Butler, Tim Gunn, Kathy Griffin, Joel McHale, Dave Grohl, Kevin Nealon, Tim Allen and Marlee Maitlin.

Sung to the tune of “We Are the World” they sang, “Goodbye to E! It’s time to move on. She wants to sing. She wants to dance and get her groove on.”
