A man has pleaded guilty today to punching a Channel Seven cameraman in May.

Jason Gangell, 40, punched TV cameraman Andrew Foote outside the Sir Samuel Way courts building in Adelaide after he had been filmed leaving court on another matter.

ABC reports Gangell today pleaded guilty to assault causing harm, an offence with a maximum penalty of three years in jail.

He is due to return to Adelaide Magistrates Court in October for sentencing submissions.

Gangell is also awaiting trial over his alleged role in a theft of car parts from the Holden production plant at Elizabeth in northern Adelaide.
