Nine exec joins FOX Sports

FOX Sports appoints Nine's Director of Commercial & Regulatory Affairs Scott Briggs as its new Commercial Director.

Fox Sports 2013 LogoFOX Sports has appointed Nine’s Director of Commercial and Regulatory Affairs Scott Briggs as its new Commercial Director.

Briggs will join FOX Sports on December 15th, and oversee major commercial dealings with the subscription TV industry, sports partners and government.

FOX Sports CEO Patrick Delany said, “The FOX Sports business is growing strongly. We broadcast over 9,000 hours of live sport a year and produce more than 700 local outside broadcasts. FOX Sports is the biggest producer of weekly sports entertainment shows in the country and plays out seven channels, with over 400 employees and a technical network across Australia.

“Scott brings broad corporate and regulatory experience to the FOX Sports team. I expect he will make a very significant contribution as we grow and develop our business.”

Briggs added: “FOX Sports is a great business with enormous potential. I’m very excited about the opportunity to join the FOX Sports team to help the business expand in new ways and enhance its products for sports fans.”
