Thursday turned out to be a low priority for audiences with News taking precedence over Reality offerings.
With Thursday AFL in play both Seven and Nine had staggered schedules in various cities.
Seven Network won their first night of the ratings week with a share of 29.5% then Nine 24.8%, TEN 24.0%, ABC 15.6% and SBS 6.2%.
Seven News (1.01m / 954,000) was best for Seven then Home and Away (813,000), Million Dollar Minute (580,000). In staggered scheduling Border Security: International was 378,000 in 3 cities, AFL was 373,000 / 282,000 in 2 cities. Movie: The Avengers was 272,000 in 3 cities.
Nine News (1.12m / 1.03m) topped the night for Nine followed by ACA (908,000). Preliminary numbers for two episodes of The Block indicate 781,000 however Nine has advised a coding error should have split it into two titles (829,000 / 725,000). Adjusting for this prevents the show from being the lowest-ever figure for a non-Unlocked show. Hot Seat was 650,000. Nine also had staggered scheduling for The Footy Show (242,000 in 2 cities) and Big Bang (237,000 / 195,000 in 3 and 2 cities) and Movie:Â The Hangover II (179,000 in 3 cities).
TEN’s primary channel had a disappointing night with TEN Eyewitness News (606,000) as its best performer. The Bachelor slipped to 594,000 and The Project was 543,000 / 391,000. Glasgow Live was 517,000 / 352,000.
ABC News (731,000) topped ABC1 followed by The Time of our Lives (583,000), 7:30 and Catalyst (both 569,000), QI (411,000) and The Men Who Made Us Spend (264,000).
SBS ONE did quite well with their food titles was Heston’s Great British Food (361,000), Destination Flavour Down Under (330,000), Shane Delia’s Spice Journey: Turkey (305,000), Masters of Sex (153,000) and SBS World News (141,000).
Glasgow Live 466,000 / 317,000 gave ONE a channel share of 7.0%.

Really enjoying The Time Of Our Lives, it doesn’t go attention seeking but it deserves attention.
I just cringe at those women “prostituting” themselves before the great god Man, and that’s just in the promos. (which is all I’ve seen of it, and that’s bad enough). They are pathetic.
What an embarrassment this program is. How any self respecting female could be part of this is beyond me.
I could only cope with 10 minutes of The Bach…..so cringeworthy, it seems to belong in a different era or on some porno network where the cameras follow ‘all’ activities
They are definitely the star of the show. : )
So pretty I was considering buying a couple but at over $300.00 a pair, way out of my price range.
Flicked over to The Bachelor for 5 mins out of idle curiosity.
Same old same old.
Bachelor this year not anything special – same desperate look on the faces of the ladies as they fear they’ll miss out on a rose.
Best thing about the show are the red Waterford Crystal champagne flutes- better looking than the contestants..
LOL pay that last line.
Seven’s airing The Avengers 2 time on 7 and 1 time on 7 mate only in 14 day in vic
Surely it’s worth noting that Seven’s airing of The Avengers comes only 10 days after it’s first screening. Is this the new Devil Wears Prada?
