7 Comments:

  1. TEN didn’t think through the coverage for Perth — they could have easily used ELEVEN to show the hockey while ONE showed the netball and the 50 years was on TEN – but instead we have ONE telling us that “over on ONE is the hockey”

  2. Maev....Sydney

Escape to the Country missing…I suspect the 20 minutes or so start past 8.30PM did not help…
Watched TENs 50yrs….was okay…nothing to write home about….
I would be happy to watch reruns of Comm. Games events….but I suspect that is not possible.
    I also like WolfieBoy’s updates…

  3. In Perth ONE was showing Netball final no hockey which made for one grumpy husband in our house. 50 years young was ok but too much talk about Offspring and Masterchef making it seem more like one big ad for their current shows.

  4. @WolfieBoy.. re read Catherine’s comments a couple more times and then realise that she was actually supporting having two great live events on two channels at the same time. I too flicked between the two and loved every minute. Even the squash on TEN afterwards was riveting stuff. Great coverage TEN.

Personally, I just wanted to say thanks for your daily updates on what you’re watching live as opposed to recording. Always a great read

  5. @Catherine – I was very happy that TEN had Hockey on ONE and Netball on TEN.
What did you expect? TEN delay a live telecast to make it convenient for you to watch? Not possible because it is LIVE and every person would have different wishes. 🙁

We watched Games on ONE, the XFactor and then a recording of Voice for Kids, then ONE Live and then TEN Live until 1am Monday.
Recorded 50years of TV on TEN and Extant for viewing Monday. 🙂

  6. @MM
Castle got 455/283k before it got bumped.

So Extreme Waterways is better. But not enough to justify pissing off loyal viewers and killing of Castle as a prime time drama.

  7. I enjoyed 50 Years Young, great trip down memory lane. I usually am a big fan of Pete Helliar on The Project but I thought he looked a bit uncomfortable with this show.

  8. I will miss the commonwealth games. The netball was great last night as was the hockey. Flicking between the 2 and it was on at a reasonable time as well.

  9. Why did channel 7 put Worlds Most Extreme Waterways on before Castle, surly Castle would have been a better choice in the time slot, when a good programme is on late viewers wont stay up when they have to get up for work the next day. Please channel 7 put Castle on earlier.
