Bob Morley retracts Home & Away criticism

"It’s one thing I regret doing," says an apologetic Bob Morley after those silly 'meat puppet' comments.

2014-09-10_0125Good to see Bob Morley retracting his comments of 2008 in which he dissed his time on Seven’s Home and Away.

He made the comments while promoting Nine’s short-lived cop drama The Strip.

“It’s nice to be in a show where it’s not based on taking your shirt off,” he said at the time.

“That was one thing that got me down (in Home & Away).

“If that’s all I am – a meat puppet – then I don’t know that I want to keep doing it.

“I knew I had to get out. It wasn’t a good place to be in. Home & Away is a great place to learn, but it’s a machine and it can chew people up and spit them out,” he said. “I stepped out not really caring whether I had another job.”

It wasn’t a very tactful comment, but thankfully he now retracts them.

“I’m still young and dumb, but I was even younger and dumber then,” he has now told News Corp. “Upon reflection and after these years it’s one thing I regret doing. It was just my ignorance and my lack of experience and I projected that on to them. They were nothing but great and kind to me and looked after me and for me to turn around and be like that is completely and utterly rude.”

Fair enough. Lesson learned.

The former Home and Away and Neighbours star is now doing well on the The CW’s The 100, currently screening in Australia on FOX8, alongside fellow Aussie Eliza Taylor.

And yes, he’s still taking his shirt off….
