Charlie Sheen not returning to Two and a Half Men

Charlie wants back for the farewell, but Warner Bros. denies it is in discussion.

2014-09-23_1117Rumours that Charlie Sheen could return to Two and a Half Men have been quashed by Warner Bros. Television.

Sheen’s 100 episodes of Anger Management are nearing completion for FX which could signal its end (break out those violins now, people).

TV Guide reported he floated an idea to appear in the closure of Two and Half Men.

“I’ve reached out to them and they’ve reached back,” he said. “We’re trying to figure out what makes the most sense. If they figure it out like I’ve presented it to them and they want to include me in some final send-off, I’m available and I’m showing up early. If not, it’s on them.”

But the Hollywood Reporter has since noted Warner Bros. Television has denied the report, although there is no specific quote.

Elsewhere back in July CBS Entertainment chairman Nina Tassler told reporters that the network was also not having conversations with Sheen about making a return.

Could be enough to send Sheen into anger management therapy.

  1. I’ve never seen a show rate so highly then have its main character dropped and watch its ratings fall to rock bottom. Warner bros were on a goldmine and lost all of that as soon as Charlie left. I think the bitterness will take many years to get over between Sheen and Warner Bros.

  2. I think they should suck it up and get him back for the ending. To have him cameo at the end would be a nice way to end it and a little reward to those viewers who stuck with it.
