  1. @PJC As a responsible parent I err on the side of caution. Thus based on the review here the day before and the gratuitous 20 second opening reminding me that a cosmetic surgery section was coming, I made the decision that I didn’t think it was appropriate for my children so I switched off. I have since watched the entire segment and stand by my judgment and decision.

This is a coments section, there is no requirement to agree with me.

  2. @Ozkarnak.. so you didn’t actually watch the segment but were more than happy to judge it based on seeing 20 secs of two semi clothed people on a beach.. hmmm ok..

  3. @PJC

Actually PJC I did watch The Living Room last night, right up to the point where 2 people in their underwear were getting stickers put on them by strangers in public trying to guess where they would get cosmetic surgery.

I guess I turned off before the tasteful family fun part of that segment kicked in.

  4. The ratings for Big Brother don’t surprise me for last night a lot of people didn’t relies it was on at a earlier time and people on facebook were asking when it was on after it already finished plus others were saying in sydney and brisbane where it was on GO! the epg reed Big momma’s house so changed the channel. Very poor advertisement.

  5. Watched Big Bro on 9 (short version) and not in TV book. Thank goodness for EPG’s.

Then watched SYTYCDance on 11 – fantastic dancing show, top young dancers on there imho.

Recorded Inspector George Gently on 2 and at 11:30pm watched the Cycling live from Spain. Beautiful seaside city and area.

The Living Room will suffer when 2 major sports are on other channels. No need to panic 🙂

  6. It was nice of Nine to switch You Only Live Twice to GEM and put it on earlier. In fact I’d prefer it if they did that for On Her Majesty’s Secret Service tonight, instead of starting at 10:00+.

  7. id imagine that the Living Room’s numbers are down because of the Finals of the AFL and NRL, which rated well. It should bounce back to the 500-550k mark in two weeks time.

  8. Cripes….crook numbers for TLR….wonder if the others watched the footy…
TLR often has some ‘naughty’ banter…wonder if it is maybe in the wrong timeslot…
Although I have to say…a change would not suit me…I usually miss the end anyway…as it runs overtime and I change to 7TWO for Escape to the Country.

  9. @Ozkarnak and Thedirtydigger.. I trust neither of you actually watched TLR because then you would’ve known that there wasn’t even a mention of the word vagina, let alone a discussion on designer ones. Had you actually watched the show, you would’ve seen that that segment on cosmetic surgery was handled very tastefully and informatively.. and definitely family friendly.

If you want a programme that just shows you how to make cushions out of tea towels or what someone’s fluffy pet is up to.. stick to BH&G.

  10. Agree ozkarnak…I predicted same for The Living Room on its peculiar choice on what makes a suitable topic for a “family” show at 7.30.. What nincompoops don’t get it? Oh, the cool ones at TLR who think Designer Vaginas are perfect viewing for kids.
But The Biggest Losers are TEN management who obviously don’t have the balls to pull them up on it and tell them what they consider decent content on their Network.
More proof that TEN really doesn’t have a clue and whoever passed that episode doesn’t deserve a pay check …
