  1. I’m surprised that the final EP of Real Humans, on SBS2 didn’t rate last night. Apparently has a huge Sci Fi following.
How do I get to see all the ratings lists?

  2. Thanks David. You’re right – there are a mix of opinions on this site. I am always just surprised why anyone would post comments that would lead to being called a “fanboy”? It seems like such an unfortunate label for someone to seek – I am surprised when people post in a way that attracts this label. Each to their own I suppose.

  3. They are basically saying that nine should give BB back to the original home as it has been a disaster ever since 9 got it. There has been no up late or even live feeds compared to when Ten had it

  4. Just bringing up Casey’s death Home and Away last night – the episode had potential, but then it went all Bold and Beautiful on us.

I just don’t understand how ridiculous some of the story lines and even the little things are getting on that show. Such as last night Kyle touching the constable – pretty sure you’re not going to be doing that in real life, and Brax breaking free from the two policemen and flinging them off, then speeding off in his Commy ute. The police should’ve arrested him straight away. It has really changed in recent years, becoming more soapie (yes I know that it is a soap) with a lost element of reality. I don’t know maybe it’s just the actors these days. Whoever cast Tai Hara needs to be made redundant – he has no facial expressions, always looks the same.

  5. BB’s ratings are down on previous years, but is doing well for the 8.30/9.00 timeslot and in the demos. Given that 9 made the conscious decision to put it on at this time, they would probably be comfortable that it is at least meeting their expectations.

Making assessments and judgements on its performance and its future based only on its basic ranking in the nightly top shows list is fairly naive, not to mention reflective of ongoing (and tiring) anti 9 bias.

    • I suspect it is more anti-BB bias. Any anti-Nine bias from readers is probably tempered by anti-Seven and anti-TEN bias from other readers. There are “fanboys” for all. Recent Audience Inventory indicated there are big followings for all FTAs here, with ABC in front of all 3.

  6. Just for fun:

On Facebook suggestions, The Block has just under 500,000 likes and The Bachelor has nearly 1.2Million likes. Just statistics gathered from the general populous. Interesting I think 🙂

Brings me back to Oztam having a Facebook page where viewers record what they watched daily to add to the data collected by other means. I believe strongly in that and that is why I report what we watched, if our TV was on 🙂

  7. I think if FF was only on Ten now the audience no.’s would stay similar. Some people with big TV’s may just watch it on ONE to get the up-converted picture (slight) improvement.

Nine used to bag BB and now it is meant to be the greatest show on earth. It is just plain boring, full stop and low budget now that Nine have it.

The most exciting part last night were those two Poodles. It will fail more and more each week. Viewers will find something more entertaining and stimulating for their minds. When my wife gets sick of the boredom it won’t get a showing in our house along with The Block which is also just hyped up drama for the sake of it 🙁 No wonder some people call it channel Nein.

  8. The Project is starting to pay off for Ten. Rove does make a small difference as well.

Watched Big Bro, Recorded 7 from Winners and Loosers onwards. Computer games after Big Bro with my wife. TV on as a side interest on SBS(30).

  9. That Project 6.30 figure is slowly growing. Having Rove on the Show is working well….A great chemistry between the three regulars and excellent. Charlie was a fool when he filled in a month or so back. Rove is much more likeable. FF is performing well…(the digital channels can’t be taking that many viewers away from primary channel). Ten news in Melbourne is week……Quarters….can you look like you are enjoying the job? 😉

  10. If TEN could get a couple of hits after 7.30, they would be back in the game. Eyewitness news, The Project and Family Fued all doing good in the early evening timeslot. Family Fued was 8th most watched show in Sydney last night. Well done.

  11. Wouldn’t be surprised if Big Brother is switched to Gem or Go if the ratings don’t improve, Channel 9 would not happy with its current viewing audience, they should never have renewed it in the first place in my opinion, its really had its day, also not keen on the host.

  12. Just noticed The Project is now two shows, just like 7 & 9 News. When do we get these broken down further to sports, weather, cross-promos, fillers?
Again, nothing TEN after 7:30 makes the Top 20.
Interesting that half of Nine’s audience switches off between The Block and Big Brother.
