9 Comments:

  1. @Buzz – they (friends) wanted to see ONE but Foxtel tech. pulled aerial cable and the set-up left for those people only had Foxtel. Thus they could not watch ONE or any FTA TV on their HD TV sets.
When I fixed that and re-scanned TV, ONE had HD sport on and they nearly fell flat on their back at the good picture quality their TV sets could produce. They had the crummy standard Foxtel package. This happens a lot apparently. One way of cutting competition.

Never said that ONE was on Foxtel. 🙁

  2. nav45 – I had this in Adelaide with a friend. Foxtel installed and pulled the aerial connection so they could not get ONE etc. I re-established the antenna connection and tuned all digital channels. They were very happy to have full choice without Foxtel masterful control. Get a tech savvy friend to sort it for you. Foxtel does not want you to view FTA TV.

Watched The Bachelor and recorded BigBro to watch later. Recorded 72 from 7:40pm until 11:35pm

BB is not dead – they just need to spend money and bring real entertainment back most days. It is boring Nein – get the message?

  3. The block is doing really well this session … Can’t recall it when wasn’t one number show including in the all important Demo’s.

I can’t understand why foxtel doesn’t or can’t broadcast all FTA channels. Viewers for theses channels could be a lot higher . I live five km away from friends who get the FTA on their decoder while I don’t have the FTA channels on my foxtel even though we have the same satellite setup. Foxtel can’t provide an answer for this. It’s surprising how many people who would watch the FTV channels if they had these channels on foxtel as an option. Not everyone has aerials these days… Guess it’s the FTA that are losing out as they are missing out on viewers.

  4. It is a shame Wild Britain didn’t make the Top 20. Last weeks was really good. I think more people need to watch quality docos, rather than mindless Reality! Just sayin’

  5. Big Brother = dead? Or given the lack of ratings for a lot of shows = still kicking?

Great figures for The Recruit finale though, even though it did drag on and on and on.
