  1. Disappointed that Marlisa and Brothers 3 are in the final as they are the two acts I like the least. I prefer the more mature singers. Dean’s OK, but my favourite was Jason, so I’ve lost interest in the final as I was hoping it would be a Reigan-Jason showdown.

Party Tricks just isn’t firing. I’ve lost interest in it after this week’s episode, I just don’t find the storyline particularly compelling. Acting is good, but on the whole I have been bored by it and probably won’t stick with it.

  2. I find Marlisa very good for her age, a few notes perhaps are not 100% but what can you expect, she will only improve with the right guidance, whereas Reigan has had so much experience and recordings before X Factor with other artists, and her voice is more mature so she is bound to sound better, but give Marlisa a year or two and in my opinion the world will be her oyster. Lets give her the benefit of the doubt. Am not a big fan of Dean, but like his attitude. Every ones opinion is different and the same music does not appeal to everyone.

  3. Its pretty obvious to me that Xfactor is aimed at the below 30’s. Personally I find marlisa “scratchy” and Reigan was definitely the better singer, but there you have the young voting for the young – as I said its for the under 30’s.

  4. Wolfie Boy – I’m not blaming Channel 7 for it – I know it’s the voting bloc. My frustration is purely aimed there – because while Brothers Three (3?)are “nice” and “ok”, they are not nearly as good as the other contestants. But I really think they’ll win. Teeny boppers win the day!! So chances are I’ll be unhappy with the final results – so not sure if I’ll bother. And I have heard a few other people say that too. Was blowing up on FB and Twitter last night with a lot of people saying that… And a lot of the comments were “Australia, what were you thinking” rather than aimed at Seven – except for the “Danni what were you thinking, Marlisa was better”… different story there though 🙂

  5. spectrum warrior

ABC was interesting last night. Both Australian story and 4 corners with stories based on FTA shows. As for X factor, I’m over it! Have party tricks recorded. I didn’t like it but I can’t stop watching it either. Maybe I’ll give it one more chance.

  6. @Wolfieboy it’s not 100% set in stone that Redfoo will produce an album with Reigan. He didn’t produce an album with any of his acts from last year’s show.

Also Brothers 3 deserve a top 3 position just as much as anyone else did. If you dont like them then that’s fine as not all music appeals to everyone but brothers 3 have never been in the bottom 2 and its not just teen girls voting for them. I am a 27 year old male voting for them each week and i know a 63 year old lady who is voting for them too. We are def not teen girls.

  7. I watched X Factor and thought it was fair other than Malissa being saved over Reigan. I think you have to remember that the majority of the audience is made up of young ones screaming their little lungs out every week, doing the voting and most importantly buying the records on ITunes etc.. I personally like Brothers 3, they are refreshing, fun and talented but I hope Dean wins!

  8. @Beckala – Brothers 3 are in the finals because viewers are voting for them and saving them. They are lovely brothers but needed to go last night and Reigan needed to stay but that is how it works when the public votes. Can’t blame 7 for that blame the voting public.

Red Foo will produce album with Reigan – you can bet on that – so all is not lost for that talented young woman 🙂

  9. BBT beats X Factor close to the finals. Do some people know how to change channels? I really fear for the survival of FTA TV and it is the ratings measurement system that will play a part in that death as well imho 🙁

Watched X Factor and loved it. Then Blacklist on 7 as well.

Recorded Party Tricks on 10 and Judge John Deed and Waking the Dead on 72. Too many shows to record on a Monday wake up TV stations – missed out on recording 2 shows as we can watch 1 and record 4 – so 2 missed out 🙁

  10. David what did Party Tricks rate ? Strange decision to put it up against X Factor finals which were pretty sure to run over…Ten have certainly given it enough promotion, shame for a new Australian drama.

  11. Interesting… Big Bang beats X Factor…? I’m really going to be paying close attention to the X Factor ratings for next week – I know a lot of people (myself included) who have said they probably won’t watch the final – when Brothers Three are in the final and the two best singers are in the bottom – chances are the teeny bopper voting bloc is too difficult to be overcome. A shame, because there were some great acts that were kicked out way too soon…
