Australian Football Media Association awards: winners
The AFMA awards trophies to Seven, Nine, TEN and FOX Footy.

The annual Australian Football Media Association awards were held last night, with wins for Seven, Nine, TEN and FOX Footy.
For a record 10th time Dennis Cometti has taken out the award for the Most Outstanding TV caller in AFL broadcasting.
Nine News sports presenter Tony Jones and TEN’s Stephen Quartermain were amongst those made as Life Members of AFMA.
Saul Shtein, Seven’s Head of Sport, said: “This is a terrific acknowledgement for Dennis and Tom (Harley) whose commentary and analysis are world class. But it’s a team sport for broadcasters, too, and these awards also reflect the skill and dedication of Seven’s entire AFL department which delivered exceptional match coverage throughout 2014.”

Clinton Grybas Rising Star award: Crocmedia’s Mitch Cleary
Best TV program: Mike Sheahan’s Open Mike (FOX Footy)
Life member of Australian Football Media Association: Nine’s Tony Jones, journalist/historian Russell Holmesby, Network Ten’s Stephen Quartermain
Footy Classified‘s Caroline Wilson also won a print award.
