At Endemol Australia, Gibbs worked on the local versions of shows including Big Brother and Undercover Boss and acquired third-party titles including Survivor and Don’t Tell the Bride.
He will report to another, Grant Ross, who became executive VP, global creative development and format acquisitions earlier this year.
“As our production companies continue to grow in their local markets, broadcasters are looking to them to provide more and more content,” Ross said. “We’re accelerating our internal creativity to respond to this, and Nathan will help us do the same with regards to third party format acquisitions.”
Gibbs left Endemol in August after 7 years.
